1. Who we are

Vid2Viral ("we", "our", "us") is a video editing service that uses artificial intelligence to help creators produce short-form social media content. Our service is accessible at vid2viral.com.

2. What data we collect

• Account data: your email address, used to create and identify your account.
• Video files: videos you upload are stored temporarily to process your job and are not shared with third parties.
• Usage data: number of videos processed per month, plan tier, and billing status.
• Payment data: payments are processed by Polar. We do not store card or banking details.

3. How we use your data

• To provide and improve the service.
• To process your payment and manage your subscription.
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset).
• To enforce usage limits based on your plan.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate Vid2Viral:

• Supabase — database and file storage.
• AssemblyAI — audio transcription of your videos.
• Amazon Web Services — video processing infrastructure.
• Polar — payment processing.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• PostHog — product analytics (only if you accept cookies). Tracks anonymised usage events such as video uploads and renders to help us improve the service. No personal video content is sent to PostHog.

Your video content is sent to AssemblyAI for transcription. Their privacy policy applies to that processing. We do not sell your data to any third party.

5. Data retention

Your final rendered video is stored indefinitely and is always available to download from your dashboard.

Original source files (uploaded clips, audio, and intermediate processing files) are automatically deleted 30 days after a job is completed to manage storage costs. Your rendered output is not affected.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us, at which point all your data will be removed within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use essential session cookies required to keep you logged in. These are set automatically and cannot be disabled without breaking the service.

With your consent, we also set analytics cookies via PostHog to understand how the service is used. You can accept or decline these when you first visit, and change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for vid2viral.com. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
